ITAS: The Journey

When I started my journey to becoming an IT architect years ago, I wish I had a guidebook. There’s a lot to learn, and it can be daunting to wrap your head around when you’re just discovering the world of IT architecture.

During the course of my journey, I learned a great deal about what did and didn’t work for gaining experience in IT architecture. I also discovered many different ways to learn new material, and how to apply these methods to different skillsets.

My goal with this book is to help aspiring IT architects plan their journey, while sharing my own experience.

For experienced architects, I hope they can see value from this guide book for their ongoing journey, and to give themselves a fresh perspective on continuing to hone their architecture skill set.

This book also provides a glimpse into what an IT architect does and knows, for those who work closely with IT architects such as administrators, operators, managers, and directors of technology and business organizations.
